Online dog training for neurodivergent people with Big Feelings Dogs

Fun and accessible positive reinforcement dog training classes and memberships for neurodivergent people and their fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs

You want your dog to feel safe and confident but…

Sometimes training just feels overwhelming, overstimulating, or like a chore.

No one else seems to understand that no matter how much you “want to train," it's often hard for your brain to put thoughts into action.

They don't understand the different barriers you might face when training with your dog - like sensory sensitivities or executive functioning differences.

Oh, but we do. We really, really get it.

At Confident Mutts, we know that training a dog as an anxious and neurodivergent guardian isn’t just about teaching behaviors or attending classes.

It’s also about navigating the whirlwind of big feelings, sensory overload, and the endless to-do lists that our busy brains just can’t keep up with. But listen…

You’re not the problem—the approach is.

You deserve dog training strategies that work with your neurodivergent needs, not against them.

We’re Logan and Emily!

We’re neurodivergent dog trainers who specialize in working with reactive, anxious, and fearful dogs.

We know all too well how stressful life with a big feelings dog can be - especially when their big emotions overlap with our own.

Our mission is to help neurodivergent dog guardians build harmonious lives with their dogs. We want to teach you everything you need to know so that you can avoid the mistakes we made with our own dogs.

Logan and Em truly make a welcoming and wonderful environment.

They work on the hard things like barking or anxiety with the understanding that we all learn different and so do our dogs.

A Little Bit About Our Dog Training Approach

Force-Free

Our training approach is rooted in positive reinforcement. We always avoid using punishment and stick to evidence-based methods. Learning should be fun!

Collaborative

We work with you, ensuring that you feel good about the training and that our suggestions are feasible. You always have a voice when you work with us.

Choice-Based

Providing choice and agency for both you and your dog is a key priority for us. We will never force you or your dog to do anything that you don’t want to do.

Imagine a dog training journey where:

  • Your dog thrives through positive reinforcement methods.

  • Training adapts to your needs and life.

  • You feel safe with your dog trainers (us!), knowing that you are in a judgement-free zone.

  • You feel empowered and confident in your training skills.

Log & Em hold such a special place for people-pup teams that struggle to feel like they fit in conventional training programs.

Not only do the trainers make you feel validated, the Confident Mutts community is full of validation and kindness too!
